It seems like Adam has been gone for ages but I guess its only been since late Nov. since he left. I still remember the last text he sent me saying he was leaving the country and I could have his phone turned off. I still have that text saved! The next text that I received from him that had me in tears was that he had landed in Texas and would soon be home for his R&R. I was excited and was on pins and needles until he arrived at the airport. Bob, myself, Elisabeth, Eric, Calvin and Kandyce were all there waiting to greet him home! Adam is here for about 2 weeks and I know he will try to see as many of his friends and family as he can. I love having all my kids in the same state again and will cherish the next couple of weeks.

We got to chat with Adam online Sun morning. It was great! He told us about getting hurt. They were unloading some kind of barriers and somehow, (I didn't quite understand how it happened) he was thrown about 6 feet in the air and landed on a wooden 4x4. He said it knocked the wind out of him and he was sore for a few day..a little bruising. He said they wanted to send him to the hospital but his sgt said he was fine. He said he wished he could have had it on video cause it was funny. hmmmm not sure I find it funny but oh well. The exciting news is he is coming home for his 2 week R&R. If I read between all his lines he should be in Kuwait today and depending on all the flights we hope like crazy he will be here friday or saturday. He really wants to spend his 21st birthday with his twin brother Mattt, which is tues the 10th. I am soooo excited to see him. His phone is reactivated for while he is in the states, so if you have his number you can call him and leave messages or text him. I don't know exactly how long he will be here but I know we are all looking forward to seeing him. I will post here when he hits home and when he will be leaving!!!!

Can you belive this. I just said yesterday that I hadn't heard from Adam and he popped up online this morning. We tried out our webcam and it was absolutely awesome to see him. I wish I could have saved the pictures but I couldn't figure out how to. He really looked good. He had last night off and he said he slept all night. He said it would make for a long night tonight as that he would be up until his noontime tomorrow. We talked for almost an hour. It was great. of course I hadn't been up all that long so I'm sure him seeing his mom with hair all sticking up in every direction probably scared the beejeebies out of him...lolol. He told us some more about his harley he bought. yep he now owns a harley...an 09 fatbob with all the bells and whistles. He said he would take me for a ride but I declined...lol. I am still counting the days till his leave. I can't wait to see him. He says he is really eating good...crab legs and lobster on wednesdays...well that is all for now till I talk to him again.

I know its been a month since I have posted anything about Adam but I really haven't heard alot from him. He did call me for Christmas. He has only had 3 1/2 days off since he arrived at Camp Bucca, and he usually has PT or other stuff he has to do in such a short amount of time. We finally bought a webcam so that when we do get to hook up with Adam we can see him on his webcam..I can't wait. I am counting the days until he comes home on leave and as hard as I try to stay calm, nope doesnt work. I am getting so excited. I know he will be bombed with tons and tons of questions. one he can' t ever answer when he calls or emails me. Other than that.. I really don't have anything else. Hoping he will call soon. Will post when he does.
